Arrive
in New Delhi, transfer by plane to Leh and installation in hotel.

Walk
in Leh and its surroundings. Overnight in Leh. |

By road from Leh to Kargil (by car, jeep or bus). Overnight
in hotel.

By
road from Kargil to Padum by car, overnight in a hotel.

From
Padum, to Mune, (a 6 hour hike). The trek passes near the
monastery of Bardan (3620m) then follows the Tsarap river, before
going up to the village and the monastery of Mune (3900m). |

From
Mune to Purne (an 8 hours hike). The trek passes the villages
of Reru (3850m), Surle (3670m) and reaches Purne (3700m). |

From
Purne to Phugtal and Tetha (a 6 hour hike). The monastery
of Phugtal always impresses, nestled into a mountain. The
end of this stage is the village of Tetha (3950m) where there is
a charming campsite. |

From
Tetha to Kargyak (an 8 hour hike). To Karu (3990m) the road
is lined with chortens. The village of Kargyak (4050m) offers
hostel rooms. |

From
Kargyak to Lakong (a 7 hour hike). The trek notably offers
the Kargyak river and passes the impressive monolith called Gumburanjan.
The destination is the small village of Lakong (4470m). |

From
Lakong to Rumjak (a 7 hour hike). The ascent of the Shingo
Her (5090m) is not difficult, according to Himalyan standards.
It can be done in a few hours. The descent is also reasonably
easy. The road crosses the sites of Chumik (4640m) and
Rumjak (4290m). |

From
Rumjak to Darcha (a 6 hour hike). The trek includes the crossing
of a river via a natural bridge to Palamo (3600m) and traverses
the village of Rarig (3430m) before the village of Darcha (3350m)
the final destination. |

Darcha to Manali by jeep. Overnight in the hotel. |

Manali
- New Delhi by bus. |

Transfer
from Manali to New Delhi and your return connection. |
