in New Delhi, transfer by plane to Srinagar and installation in house-boats. |

Visit the old city of Srinagar and around Dal lake, overnight in
house-boats. |

road to Pahalgam. |

From
Pahalgam to Aru, a 3 hour hike. Although the walk follows
a jeep track, this stage will be a good opportunity to try out your
boots. The village of Aru (2410m) has a number of interesting
hostel rooms. |
5 |
The
stage to Aru gives you the opportunity to delve into the most picturesque
part of Kashmir, that of the shepherds. They are friendly
and are in the habit of meeting trekkers. You will also cross
a pine forest and follow the Lidder river. |
6 |
From
Lidderwat to the glacier of Kolahoi (an 8 or 9 hour hike).
You start by following the river bed before the ascent to Satalanjan.
As there can be snow, be appropriately equipped. A little
further, you reach the foot of the glacier. The road to the
peak of the Kolahoi is very demanding. Return the same way.

From Lidderwat to Selkwas, Tar Sar and back. (a 9 hour hike).
The ascent to Tar Sar (3900m) can be dangerous, but is magnificent.
It is a demanding stage. |

From
Lidderwat to Pahalgam (a 5 hour hike) If you want to be in
time for dinner at Pahalgam, you only need to hitch a ride with
a passing truck. |

Return
to Srinagar. Overnight in house-boats. |

10 |
Visit
the Monghols gardens and the Hazratbal mosque. Overnight in
house-boats. |

Day
on the water, water-trekking on lakes. Overnight in house-boats. |
| 12 |
Transfer
to the airport for flight from Srinagar to New Delhi and your return
connection. |
