A BEAUTIFUL mountainous valley, grassy, full of lakes and rivers, with Srinagar the main town. 
It permits treks of several days, a stay comprising of cross-country skiing or skiing on the slopes as well as treks on water, while sleeping on board a “Sikhara” or at the hotel.
Srinagar is famous for its old city, its lakeside market on piles
and especially for its wooden “house-boats”, highly prized by the British at the start of the twentieth century.
