Trek 3: Trek circulaire dans la forêt de Dhauladar

Dharamsala
Culminating point: 4350 meters
Departure point: Mcleod Ganj
Days Ideal season: April to the end of October.
1 Arrive in New Delhi, then by bus to Dharamsala.
2 Day visit to Mcleod Ganj and Dharamsala.
3 From Mcleod Ganj to Guna Devi Temple, an isolated site in the forest.  The distance to cover is 12km in 4 to 5 hours.
4 Hike from Guna Devi Temple to Karen village (1900m): 5 to 6 hours.  Karen is a small English style resting place in the forest.
5 From Karen Village to Kareri Lake (3200m)  13km; a 6 to 7 hour march.  Kareri Lake is an excellent campsite with picturesque shepherd’s cabins.
6 From Kareri Lake to Mainkaini Pass (4250m)  and back to camp.  The whole day will be required to reach the summit.
7 From Kareri Lake to Baga (3000m):  6 to 7 hours march to cover 11km in a lush forest.
8 From Baga to Rawa, a 10km march in 6 hours.  Possibility to overnight in a valley on the banks of the Rawa river, making the Rawa an excellent campsite.
9 From Rawa to Mcleod Ganji (starting point) 6 to 7 hour hike of about 12km, notably through Talno and T.C.V. Village.
10 Return to New Delhi by bus and transfer to the airport for your return home.
Remark:  It is possible to extend this trek to 10 days around Dhauladar.
